Programs

Our aim is to provide an environment that promotes personal growth, preparing residents for greater independence. Our programs endeavor to sustain and support each resident in their daily pursuit of meaning-full living with opportunities to use their God-given gifts and abilities.

Community Mental Health Partnership

Our five homes have an agreement with Community Mental Health of Ottawa County (CMH) for the provision of supportive therapy and diagnostic evaluation for residents. The intent is to cooperatively plan and provide needed services to residents who are also consumers of services and programs provided by CMH.

Health Services

All residents will continue their medical and dental care with the physician and dentist of their choice. The home supervisors are responsible for transporting residents to scheduled medical and dental appointments in the Holland area. They will dispense medication per the doctors’ orders. House supervisors will monitor residents daily and be alert to their medical and dental needs. House supervisors or trained resident support staff will perform basic first aid, if needed.

Community and Social Engagement

Residents of our homes have weekly opportunities to take part in recreational activities, church and community events, concerts, outdoor activities, volunteer opportunities, and more.

Tutorial and Daily Living Skills

Staff from our homes provide training in self-care, cooking and cleaning skills, semi-independent living, mobility, and more.

Employment and Training

Each resident has a supports coordinator or assistant through CMH. This individual will work with the resident to assist them in securing employment or job skills training, day programming, or education.

Transportation

The MAX Bus provides transportation to and from work or daytime activities. Additionally, each home owns a multi-passenger van to transport residents to and from medical and dental appointments, recreational programs, and evening activities. Home supervisors will have their own passenger vehicle, which may be used to transport residents, too.
